In October 2007 the fourth annual Goth Cruise set sail on its 5 day journey from New Jersey to Bermuda and back again.

Goth Cruise is a feature length 'Gothumentary' about the enduring allure of Goth Culture in the UK and USA. The film goes behind the dark make-up to discover why Goth has endured for so long, exactly what goes in to "Goth Soup" and why "we will keep on wearing black until they invent a darker colour".

Ragdoll
Ragdoll has been designing, patternmaking, and involved in the scene for over 16 years and has worked with many celebrities and bands. Currently her day job is designing private brand Junior and Young Men's apparel for a Florida based chain of department stores. Backed with degrees in apparel, textiles, and product development she is ready to challenge herself and her contemporaries on a couture level. Her newest collection for Spring 2009 is inspired by Kisaeng tradition and her love for Hanguk pop culture. Not only does she design the clothing, she designs the hair too!

Old Elephant Foot IPA, Wild Warthog Weizen, Iron Rat Stout and six other high-quality recipes brewed right on site. A full menu featuring mouth-watering dishes made with fresh ingredients; everything from burgers, pizzas and quesedillas to North Atlantic salmon and bison ribs. All located within a two-story brick building that used to house horses in the historic Ybor City district.

And that's just the first stop.

For more than half a century, Ybor was known as the cigar capital of the world. Join Keith, CorpGoth's Trouble Consultant, on a walking tour of historic Ybor City and get a glimpse into the story of how Ybor was built and what life was like during its "Cigar City" heyday.

The tour will stop at Stogie Castillos Cigar Lounge & Factory and at Havana Dreams Cigar Factory where visitors will be treated to a cigar rolling demo. Three of Ybor's most popular bars will also be on the agenda. The bars will be first to allow non-smokers to depart before things get stinky. Drinks and cigars are not included in the nominal $10 ticket fee. The meet-up point will be Tampa Bay Brewing Company. Dress appropriately for walking in August.

Tired of bats, bats, and more bats?  Afraid of sharks?  Join the Convergence XIV committee on a trek to Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo on Sunday afternoon.  Recognized as one of the top zoos in the country, TLPZ features wildlife both familiar and exotic. Featured habitats include Asia, the Australian outback, Safari Africa and the Ituri Forest, free-flight aviaries, a raptor exhibit, a marine center, a in-depth look at the local Florida wildlife and more!

Join your your hosts Rafe and Kim on as they regale you with stories of the antics, personalities and behind-the-scenes interactions that working with the animals provides.

Being fed to the wildlife is not currently on the itinerary.

The Spanish painter Salvador Dali is easily the most well known artist of the Surrealist movement. During the opening years of World War II, Dali was "expelled" from the Surrealist group who worked out of Paris and he and his wife moved to the United States where he lived and worked for 8 years.

His years in the USA were among the most productive and influential of the artist’s career, and the Salvador Dali Museum located in St Petersburg, FL is the permanent home of the world's most comprehensive collection of the renowned Spanish artist's work. The collection includes 96 oil paintings, over 100 watercolors and drawings, 1,300 graphics, photographs, sculptures and objects d'art, and an extensive archival library. The full range of Dali's career is well represented here, including pieces in the Impressionist and Cubist styles of his early period, abstract work from his transition to Surrealism, the famous surrealist canvases for which he is best known, and examples of his preoccupation with religion and science during his classic period.

On the Sunday afternoon, the Convergence XIV Organizers will be taking attendees to the Salvador Dali Museum to take a tour which includes the featured exhibit "Women: Dali's View". This exhibit features 70 pieces from the permanent collection at the museum. We'll hear about the deliciously decadent divergences of Dali's days and you can immerse yourself in parallel dimensions for the afternoon.

Ticket cost is $30 and includes transportation to and from and entrance to the museum.
